HESPERIA — Hesperia closed out regular-season play with a three-game sweep over Kent City last Wednesday at home, but it was anything but easy for the Panthers, who held on 25-22, 27-25, 26-24.

The Panthers faced game points against them in each of the last two games, but in both cases rallied for short scoring runs that ended the games the way they wanted.

“They buckled down and focused,” Hesperia coach Monica Grimard said.
