The West Shore Community College Student Senate will welcome “America’s Got Talent” contestant Chris Jones to the college’s Center Stage Theater for a free performance at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28.
One of the newest and most energetic hypnosis performers, Jones has been called, “the Adam Sandler of hypnosis.”
He offers a high-energy show that is interactive for those being hypnotized and the audience.
Jones was on the season premiere of “America’s Got Talent” in 2015, during which he hypnotized Howie Mandel to shake hands.
His show relies on volunteers from the audience, which allows students to become the stars.
Jones has taken his hypnosis show to high schools, colleges and universities across the country.
The Chicago native has spent the last seven years living on college campuses. He became a resident assistant and hall director after finishing graduate school.
Jones is a track and cross country athlete who enjoys running marathons and hopes to qualify for the Olympic Trials one day.
Adult language might be used by participants under hypnosis. The performance might not be suitable for ages 13 and younger.
Center Stage Theater is located in the Arts and Sciences Center at WSCC, 3000 N. Stiles Road, Victory Township. Reservations for the general admission event can be made by contacting the WSCC box office at 231-843-5507.
