A 23-year-old Ludington man was sentenced to a year in jail and must pay fines and costs Tuesday in 51st Circuit Court by Judge Susan Sniegowski.

Cody Ethan Bayer received a sentence of 12 months of jail after he previously pleaded guilty to fleeing a police officer fourth degree.

Bayer was credited for 117 days served already, with the balance of 248 days to be served at the court’s discretion.

He also was issued a total amount of fines and costs in the amount of $458.
