A 9-year-old Ludington girl was driving a pickup truck when she crashed it into a tree Friday morning at the corner of Lavinia and Court streets in Ludington, according to the Ludington Police Department.
The crash occurred at 10:22 a.m. when she was traveling west on Court and lost control of the truck, a GMC.
The girl was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital for complaint of head and neck pain following the crash.
The girl reportedly took the truck from the 500 block of East Court Street, driving it about 100 feet before losing control and crashing it into a tree, the report states.
The Ludington Police Department, Ludington Fire Department and Life EMS had personnel respond to the scene.
The report is being sent to the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
