Benona Shores Golf Course hosted its annual Bob and Mary Ann Hukill Memorial Fireman’s Scramble June 1 and 2, raising over $12,400 for the Shelby-Benona Fire Department.

A total of 239 golfers played in the event, and the championship winners were the team of Pranger, Parmalee, Wilson and Woodland, who scored a two-day total of 102. They edged out the team of Carlston, Sofo, Magerowski and Moore by just one stroke. Finishing third was the team of Current, Brodie, Griffin and DeRuiter, who shot a 107.

The Cullen team earned first flight championship honors with a score of 106, and the second flight champs were Greiner, Veltman, Pretty and Hukill, with a 111. Taking the third flight were Benson, Lorenz, Forbes and Buys, shooting a 118.

Long drive winners were Jerry Tozer on Saturday and Brennan Hansen on Sunday. Closest to the pin winners were Dylan Graber on Saturday and Bonnie Nicholas on Sunday.

Taking skins winners were, on Saturday, Ken Ladd of the Jensen team, and the Meeuwsen team. Sunday’s skins winners were Dan Graber, Jesse Hille, and the Pranger team.
