PENTWATER — Pentwater finally opened its soccer season Tuesday against Newaygo. The Falcons played a solid second half, but lost to the Lions 5-0.

All five Newaygo goals came in the first half, but Pentwater was able to keep the visiting Lions off the board in the second half.

"I'm very proud of the way we played and the lessons we learned from tonight's game," Pentwater coach Steve Rossiter said. "Our team never gave up."
