We have liftoff! Muskegon Area District Library will be hosting free programs throughout the summer for people of all ages to celebrate a Universe of Stories.

Highlights at the Montague Branch (8778 Ferry St.) include:

Summer Reading Club for children, teens and adults — Read from June 17-August 17 to earn out of this world prizes, like Michigan’s Adventure tickets, Air Zoo passes, gift certificates to local businesses and more. Track your reading at www.madl.org and help us reach our goal of 150 participants at the Montague Branch.

Explore the Universe every Monday from June 17-July 29 at our new time of 10:30 a.m. – Live animals, magic, t-shirt painting, Space Camp and more!

Family Storytime – Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. from June 19-August 14 join us for books, music, dancing, crafts and some special guests!

Snacktivity – Wednesdays from 3:00-6:00 p.m. from June 19-August 14 meet at the library for games, crafts Lego, snacks and more!

Astronomy 101 – Thursday, July 25 at 6:00 p.m. learn how to view the night’s sky with little or no equipment.

Children’s Concert – Monday, August 5 at 10:30 .am.

Storytime at White River Light Station – Wednesday, August 21 at 11:00 a.m.
